Trollius chinensis 'Lemon Queen'

A popular plant in England and Europe, often overlooked here. Clumping perennial with 2-3' tall stems crowned with masses of rich yellow, bowl-shaped flowers with prominent stamens June & July. Protect from hot afternoon sun, plant in moist to wet soil (even clay); waterside, bog or moist border. Long lived and easy to grow; deadheading extends bloom season.
