Nepeta x faassenii

Choice Catmint with violet blue spikes of flowers tumbling over mounds of silvery green foliage 6-8" tall and 24" wide from May to October...yup, that is a full 6 months of color! Shear when flowers fade for a quick rejuvenation of foliage and flower. Full hot sun, loves heat (happy in a Mediterranean or rock garden), drought tolerant but will tolerate moderate water with reasonable drainage...deer, gopher and rabbit resistant. Sterile so no unwanted progeny. Nice little edger, will cascade over a wall, fragrant foliage along a path edge. Pairs well with salvias, ornamental grasses and penstemons. Long lived, not fussy, great bee plant!
