(Honesty, Silver Dollar Plant) Heirloom biennial from Grandma’s garden, compact mounds of heart shaped leaves variegated with cream edges (best color in second year) topped with fragrant white (sometimes magenta) flowers (reminiscent of wallflowers) in mid spring followed by stems of flat papery pearl seedpods the size and shape of silver dollars… these can last for years in dried arrangements! Sun to part shade, prefers moisture but survives some dry shade. Self-sows. Attracts bees, hummers & butterflies.
