Lepisorus bicolor

Upright, evergreen, glossy ribbon leaves 12-15" long on creeping rhizomes that spread slowly to an eventual clump 2-3’ wide create some light catching drama in the woodland garden! This fern is native to high elevation Yunnan beside forest streams, in rock crevices and along road cuts. Probably a winner for the damp rock garden or well-drained soil with frequent moisture in part to full shade. Rare.
