Rare & choice from a Wynn-Jones collection in Japan, tight evergreen 4” buns of narrow leaves topped in March-April with taller stems of flopsy-mopsy, flaring tubular white flowers in whorls punctuated with purple stamens.  Apricot-orange fall color. Part sun to light shade, well drained moist but not wet soil. Pot, rock garden, edge of bog, placed so its diminutive size will not be lost among giants.
