Globularia cordifolia

(aka Globularia repens, G. cordifolia subs. nana) Ground hugging, evergreen, tightly woven mat of spoon-shaped foliage, 1-3” short and eventually 10-12” wide. Blue-lavender pom pom flowers on taller stems May to June. This European alpine thrives in fast draining, dry soil in a sunny location. Perfect rock garden candidate, good in troughs, pots, on slopes and in mounds. Drought tolerant, critter resistant.
