Fritillaria verticillata
Fritillaria verticillata
Spring blooms on 12-16” (or taller) stems are greenish-white dangling bells with a brownish checker pattern inside. The narrow leaves have a clasping tip that can use adjacent plants to maintain verticality (cool!). Full sun to part shade, well-drained soil that is moist during growth and bloom, then drought tolerant during dormancy. Rock garden sweetheart. Rare.
