Rare jewel from the Andes, this is one of the easiest of the genus to grow. An evergreen subshrub, an architectural mound of upright branches cloaked by tiny silver green scale-like leaves, grows to about 18” tall, slowly expanding 24-36” wide. Charming honey scented, tubular violet lavender blossoms put on a show in June and July. Requires perfect drainage, enjoys poor lean soils, some summer water, sun (some shade in hot climates). Rock garden darling!
