Echinacea 'Tomato Soup'

When I first saw this plant I had to touch it to see if it was real! Probably one of the BEST of the genus, this tough perennial forms 2’ wide clumps from which sturdy, upright, no staking required branched stems are topped with BIG tomato red flowers 5”across from late spring to late summer (and sporadically in fall). Goldfinches enjoy seeds, hummers adore the flowers! Full sun, most soils. Moist to dryish. Great cut and dried.
