Dicentra macantha

RARE and reputed to be difficult to grow, we have found this reputation unfounded! Spreading rhizomes of ferny fronds grow to 2’ tall and sport nodding, large 2-3” creamy yellow flowers (and lots of them!) in late spring. A very different member of this exceptional genus... Moist, organic soils – light to moderate shade and protection from wind.
