Campanula 'Sarastro'

Fantastic new bellflower cross (C. punctata x C. trachelium)! Luxurious deep green foliage, 18" tall and slowly spreading via underground rhizomes – dark buds (almost black) unfurl into giant (2 ½") bell shaped blooms of luscious grape purple that keep coming all summer if old flowers are removed. Prefers fertile, moist soil and sun to part shade. When this beauty is in bloom, no one sees anything else!
