Begonia circumlobata 'Chandler’s Hardy'

(aka 'Shaynegri-La') Pretty deeply lobed foliage speckled in white on soft stems in clumps of about 12”, this rare beauty was collected in China by Shayne Chandler .  Has been hardy for us in Zone 8 with a mulch layer to protect the rhizome.  Pink flowers late summer (but this is all about the FOLIAGE).  Also thrives indoors.  Bright shade, moist soils that drain;  does not play well with aggressive tree roots.  Lovely potted plant but will require protection in winter. This baby is SWEET!
