Arisaema griffithii

I saw this Cobra Lily growing all over Bhutan…it was love at first sight! This most dramatic of Arisaemas throws up a bold, three part leaf on a 2’ stem partnered with a shorter stem topped by a very wide, spathe flower, curled in on itself, decorated with vertical purple and yellow stripes with a thin, drooping purple tongue in May. Not the easiest to grow, dislikes heat and humidity but SO WORTH IT! Light shade, well drained soil, dryish when dormant.
