From the Yunnan and Sichuan Provinces in China, this baby is found in moist, mountain meadows. Sparkling, bright yellow, spherical flowers on 12-20” stems over grassy foliage in early summer command attention. Best in average to rich, medium to moist, well drained soils in sun to part shade. Eventually short rhizomes form a small colony. Good cut flower. Butterflies. Deer resistant.
