Slow growing dwarf, deciduous shrub, eventually 3-4’ high and wide (15 years) … vase shaped, dense growth. Narrow, serrated leaves emerge yellow, fade to lime, turning yellow-orange to reddish purple in fall. Cool, exfoliating bark. Definitely a ‘waz dat?’ candidate for your garden…and it takes up a small space with a big presence! Easy in average soils in a sunny spot; will tolerate some drought when established. Also shows off in a nice pot; interesting paired with dwarf conifers!
