Tulipa whittalii

Beautiful species naturalizer from Turkey, what it lacks in stature it makes up in its jewel tones and garden endurance! Thin green silver foliage emerges early, plants are about 8-10” tall and bloom mid-late spring. Fiery blood orange petals are pierced by a dark olive heart. This is a great wild tulip to multiply in your garden; dry warm summer spot please!
