Styrax japonicus ‘Evening Light’ PP24168

 (Japanese Snowbell)  Rarely offered small deciduous flowering tree with smokey, dark purple foliage that really sets off the pendulous clusters of fragrant white bell flowers May>June (sometimes blooms again in fall). Smaller growing than the species it can eventually reach 8'-15’ high and 4'-6’ wide. Sun to part shade (especially in hot areas), enjoys rich organic acidic soil with moderate moisture.  Also nice as a specimen in a pot or even as a bonsai.
