Solanum atropurpureum 'Malevolence'

TENDER perennial that needs winter protection; purple stems with purple thorns that are also on leaves…this wicked plant has upright stems up to 4-5’ tall on a plant half as wide. Green, stripy fruits mature to golden yellow, following small yellow flowers in summer. Like their tomato relatives they are toxic, enjoy heat and sun and little water. Quite a conversation piece in the garden or in a pot!
