Robinia pseudoacacia ‘Frisia‘

(Golden Locust) One of my absolute favorite trees! Fast growing to 30-40’ with brilliant lemon yellow ferny foliage that casts a perfect gardening light shade beneath. Wisteria like, hanging clusters of white flowers in May create a bee heaven and are quite fragrant, especially at dusk. Leaves fall all at once, curl up and disappear, no raking required! Most soils, even clays. Full sun to open shade, very drought tolerant, deer resistant. May sucker. Watch for any green sprouts below graft and remove. Establish a good structure while tree is young.
