Robust, easy to grow Poker from South Africa! Rockets to the sky on stems 3’- 4’ tall and wide with fat pokers late summer to early fall, orangey-red at the top fading to orange to yellow at the bottom, can re-bloom in spring after warm winters. Full sun, decent soil, establish and abandon (yes, it’s THAT drought tolerant), deer/critter resistant.  Leaves are evergreen but can be cut back anytime they look untidy.
