(JAPANESE WATER IRIS) This pretty ‘geisha girl’ wears 20” tall evergreen leaves vertically striped with creamy white & green…topped in May>June with sensuous pale lavender to purple iris blooms well above the foliage.  Revels in sun & rich, damp, acidic soils but performs in ordinary, moist to wet garden conditions; can be submerged in a pond or water feature during the warmer months (remove for winter).
