Iris confusa ‘Martyn Rix’

Striking evergreen perennial in warmer areas with bamboo-like jointed stems to 3’ tall supporting fans of glossy, palm-like leaves creating an attractive colony.  If that’s not enough, throw in tall, branched stems of pretty blue-violet flowers with ruffled edges and yellow markings late spring to early summer.  Appreciates some winter protection, rich moist soils in part shade.  Deer resistant.
