Light, airy, deciduous shrub from Western China with erect stems 6-8’ tall and as wide, pretty apple-green compound leaves typical of the pea family (and makes its own fertilizer!). Long blooming, May to September, upright racemes of pink flowers, makes a great cut flower, blooms on new growth so pruning to keep smaller won’t discourage blooms. Full sun to part shade, average soils, regular moisture (drought tolerant when established).
