Eucomis ‘Dark Star’

Terra Nova bred Eucomis zambesiaca x Eucomis vandermerwei cross resulting in a dwarf form of Pineapple Lily 8-12” tall and wide; clumps of pointed, arching, succulent, dark purple leaves topped by pineapple-ish plummy spikes capped by tufted leaves…cute! Tropical looking. Best color in sunny areas in fertile soil with regular moisture. Does well in pots. Deer aren’t interested here.
