Epimedium sutchuenense

Woodland perennial from China, evergreen (but looks best if old foliage removed in winter), new leaves often blotched with red in clumps 8-12” tall, slowly expanding. Late spring fairy flowers are purple and white and quite showy.  Easy in average soils, morning sun to light shade, regular water but tolerates dry shade when established.
