Colquhounia coccinea

(Himalayan Mint Shrub) Semi-evergreen, somewhat sprawling shrub 6-10’ high and wide (easily kept at 4-6’ with pruning), with aromatic silver-felted foliage. Late summer to early fall clusters of tubular orange-red to dark-red flowers with yellow throats are a delight! Best in a wind protected site on moist, well drained soils in full sun to part shade; also large pots can be overwintered indoors in a cool location with minimal water.
