Colchicum byzantinum ‘Innocence’

Cormous perennial that sends up strappy foliage in spring that is dormant by summer with naked blooms in fall – goblet shaped, reminiscent of giant Crocus 4-6” high, white flowers open, often with flushes of pink in mid-September. Thrives in sun in well-drained soil, appreciates moisture during growth and bloom periods, is fine with dry during summer dormancy. Deer/critter resistant.  All parts are toxic.
