Clianthus puniceus

(Kaka Beak) Unusual evergreen shrub from Kiwi Land (New Zealand) 3-6’ high and wide, relatively fast growing with loads of 3” exotic, long rose -red flowers resembling parrots spring to summer.  Enjoys rich, well-drained soil in sun to part shade locations (best protected from late PM hot sun) with regular water.
