Very compact Flowering Quince, this deciduous shrub forms a mound of tangled branches 3-4’ tall , eventually 4-5’ wide; abundant clusters of fiery red flowers with prominent golden anthers appear before the foliage in early spring (branches will force indoors) Best flowering in full sun, grows in most soils (even clay), establish and abandon drought tolerant, deer and rabbit resistant.
