Carmichaelia odorata

Almost leafless evergreen shrub to 8’h x 6’w with arching green stems from New Zealand. Showy, fragrant purple flowers cover the plant in summer; being in the pea family it is a nitrogen fixer.  Full sun, well drained soil, regular water.  Infrequently encountered, deserves more attention!
