Boehmeria nivea

This fiber plant is a deciduous shrub to 4’ high and wide composed of multiple upright stems from an expanding rhizome. The leaves on this plant have a fuzzy white covering and lend outstanding texture in the garden! Blooms are clusters of tiny cream flowers that form little tails on the stems in summer. Rich, warm, well drained soil in part shade will result in a handsome specimen in the ground or in a pot.
