Argyrocytisus battandieri

(Pineapple Broom) Large deciduous shrub or small tree, 15’ tall and 8-10’ wide with sparkling silvery foliage; bright yellow flowers in bunches are pineapple scented May>July on one year wood. Best in full sun in lean soils in dry locations. Rich soil and excessive summer water cause rank growth and breakage.  Drought tolerant (establish and abandon), deer resistant; no fertilizer.
