Anemopsis californica

(Yerba Mansa) West coast native that actually PREFERS soppy soils (tolerant of some drying) and full sun! Vigorous spreading ground cover that will grow in sun to shade, nice ‘rain garden’, stream banks selection, takes heat & humidity, attractive, ovate foliage grows to about a foot tall, pretty cone flowers, to 20” tall late spring > summer subtended by white bracts. Also performs well in pots. Medicinal uses.
