(Variegated Parrot Feather) Slower growing than the species, this fleshy rooted perennial will form a 3’ wide clump in 6 years… June flower stems are 30” tall, each topped with unusually colored (reminds me of parrot tulip) rose red tubular flowers with green edging at the tips…long lasting cut flower!  Leaves are neatly edged in white.  Plants go dormant after blooming, re-emerging in fall.  Thrives even in heat and humidity.  Undemanding, easy to grow.  Sun, most soils, regular water.
