Aloysia virgata

(Sweet Almond Verbena) Highly fragrant S. American shrub (dieback perennial colder zones) 5-10’ tall and half as wide grown for its wonderful summer>frost white flower spikes intoxicatingly scented vanilla almond (especially in the evening)! Also highly desired by pollinators. Blooms on new wood so can  easily be pruned.  Best in full sun, semi-regular moisture (not soggy); this is a ‘must have’ if you can grow it!
