Acorus calamus 'Variegatus'

(VARIEGATED SWEET FLAG) Named for its sweetly fragrant leaves and rhizomes, this baby is happiest with wet feet (goes to 9” deep aquatic), but will grow in ordinary garden conditions as long as it doesn’t dry out. The grassy Iris like foliage is about 2’ tall on slowly creeping rhizomes (the rhizomes are cool looking and tend to stay on the surface). Also great in a pot in a saucer of water… Just a nice foliage accent plant!
