Abutilon ‘Orange Hot Lava’

From Monterey Bay Nursery, this “hummingbird crack” Flowering Maple (NOT a maple) forms a loose shrub 3-4’ tall decorated with dangling orange bell flower with fiery red veins summer to frost. Best sited in morning sun in good soil, kept moist and lots of nitrogen fertilizer.  Don’t be afraid to cut back hard before new growth starts in spring!
