Salix alba ‘Swizzle Stick’
Smaller selection of corkscrew willow to 20’ tall and 6’ wide (smaller with annual coppicing) valued for its contorted, bright orange winter stems that virtually GLOW against the gray sky. Branches are prized by flower arrangers and are also long lasting in a dry vase. This Darrell Probst introduction is easy to cultivate in a sunny, well-watered position in most soils. Narrow green, deciduous foliage dances in the breeze. Tolerates wet and brackish sites.
