Baptisia ‘Cherries Jubilee’ PP23907
Compact, well branched stems to 3’ tall are topped with generous burgundy buds that pop to bicolor burgundy and yellow late spring to early summer, unlike the species, secondary branching provides even more bloom! Flowers evolve to yellow gold as they age and attract bees and butterflies; nice cut flower. No deadheading or pruning needed. Full sun, soils with decent drainage, drought tolerant. It has been very deer and critter resistant for us. I love the rattling seed heads in the fall and winter.
